The Thought Pushers by Dima Zales dives deeper into the shadow world of mind readers and mind controllers in present-day Brooklyn. The Russian expats, Mira and Eugene, are getting closer to tracking down the Russian mobsters that killed their parents. Our mind-reading hedge fund manager, Darren, meets some new friends, some unexpected family members, and begins to learn about his hidden origins, what they are and why they have been hidden.The previous book in this series, The Thought Readers, introduced us to this world and described the events surrounding these mind readers as seen through Darren’s eyes as he discovers the new world that has opened up for him. This book introduces us to the vibrant world of the mind controllers, the other side of the coin for in this mental universe.
We learn more about the mysterious Pushers and their secret community, how they are integrated into modern life, yet apart from it in their hidden society. Darren starts to have a double life everywhere he goes, since the mind readers think he’s a mind reader, and the mind controllers think he’s a mind controller, and each group has a serious level of antagonism toward the other group, at least when they’re not trying to kill each other. Darren has to constantly decide how much of the truth, as he discovers it, to tell everyone, so as not to be labeled the enemy.
It is a sad, but hysterical commentary on human nature that each group has a warm-and-fuzzy name for themselves (Readers and Guides), and a nasty cold name for the other group (Leachers and Pushers). How true of real life, and a touch of genius by the author.
Darren learns expert fighting skills, has his life put in danger repeatedly, meets some new friends and finds out surprising developments about some old friends. Some friendships are strengthened and some relationships are tested. Bipolar Mira still bounces between flirting with Darren, and pulling a gun on him. You’ll have to read to the end of this book to see what happens to their relationship.
The story in this series becomes more compelling as we follow Darren through his journey of discovery. Once again, the author, Dima Zales, has pulled us in with a total immersion in an intense psychological puzzle. This book is a strong follow-up to The Thought Readers. It keeps the tension high and the action non-stop as our detectives run and chase through New York. This is what urban fantasy should be, with amazing situations, well-developed characters, and nonstop thrills.
This book has enough of a satisfying resolution to be read as a stand-alone novel, but you will want to read the next book. There are still mysteries for Darren to solve, and I can’t wait to follow his adventures.

The Thought Pushers Mind Dimensions Book 2 eBook Dima Zales Anna Zaires Reviews
This second novel in the Mind Dimensions Series, "THE THOUGHT PUSHERS," in part was not as exciting as their original novel "THE THOUGHT READERS." In the earlier parts of this story the action was acceptable and toward the end it became as exciting as in the first book. The authors over explanation and examination of the differences between the two factions considerably slowed the flow of this novel. Perhaps if they had spread their thoughts through out, the story line would not have drag as much as it did during that particular point. Other than the chapter or so that they used to relate the pointlessness of prejudice, which unfortunately not everyone comprehends, this is a good story. If you have not read the first book in this series please do so and then read this one. Regardless of the slump during this story it will be well worth your time. I have already purchased the third novel and have per-ordered the forth which should be here, I believe, sometime in July. Read it, you will enjoy it.

Yes, that is how I started this review. Wow.
As soon as I finished the first book I devoured the second and third. I'm only holding off on the fourth because I don't want it all to end. As such, my review will cover the first three.
An utterly fantastic portrayal of the Sci-Fi physic powers trope. I was transfixed. The unique way in which our protagonists can wield their abilities is at once powerfully awe-inspiring whilst filled with risk and dangers.
Rather well-developed characters for such a fast-paced story. I became attached, and some losses were keenly felt. A minor flaw for me would be that sometimes events fell too neatly into place for our main protagonist. Other than that, I have no complaints.
The tale barely gives one time to catch one's breath, becoming bigger and bigger with more surprises and progressions.
I can only hope that whilst I hold off on book four for a short while, a fifth book may miraculously appear.
A rare 5-star rating from me.

The thrid book in a series about para-normals, who naturally have been hiding from humanity for centuries while directing history very badly. A very good start, this first book (called Book 0) sets up the fantasy universe was good enough to get me to buy Book 1, which introduces the first para-normal faction. There is good characterization, plotting, suspense and action in both books. And that was good enough to make me by Book 2, which introduces the second faction. Of course the two factions who hate each other and have been killing each other for centuries and, naturally, our hero seems destined to bring them together. Sadly the conflict gets very, very silly and unbelievable and by the end I had decided not to go on to book 3.
I never expected this book to be better than the first. Darren, Mira, Eugene being the main characters with the mind reading ability that freezes time was one thing but when Darren discovers that he can go deeper and put a suggestion in someone's mind that changes the dynamics of the story. Plus, adding his new group of friends in this suggestion world allows him to understand and use his powers and abilities in such a unique way that adds a new dimension that increases the story's intensity. There is so much more to this 2nd book that books you into turning the pages faster and faster until the end that it actually amazed me. I just hope book 3 continues the increase in action and involves the introduction of the new characters of Darren's aunty and Thomas as well as the pusher that's colluding with the reader to get rid of Darren. Book 3 here l come. Great job Dima
